The Magic of Atlanta

We had a wonderful time visiting the Gift Mart showrooms in Atlanta to check on our Working Girl projects! Expect to see lots of Working Girls gifts in retail boutiques in 2012 including ceramics, games, gifts, calendars and an entire greeting card line by Leanin' Tree! It was great to meet fellow artists and catch up with old friends. The Atlanta Gift Mart is always such a creative rush and we really enjoyed it this year.

Hard to believe but it's time for the Atlanta Gift Show again. We are so excited that our line of greeting cards will be launching with Leanin' Tree this week called I'm Just Sayin! Stay tuned, we will have pictures from the showroom and will be giving away a few cards through our facebook page as well!

It's Holiday Cookie Time!

Jodi and Tonja aka the peeps behind Working Girls Design, Inc will be taking time away from our art and copy writing duties next week to make some cookies! We thought we'd share one recipe that we just love. This is from the blog Sugar Belle's. She bakes the best little cookies around!  Happy Cooking.

To make my basic sugar cookies you need:

• 1 c. {two sticks} of REAL unsalted BUTTER, softened
• 1 1/2 c. confectioner’s sugar
• 1 egg
• 2-3 tsp flavoring {pick what you like, I prefer almond}
• 2 1/2-2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
• 2 tsp. baking powder
• 1 tsp. salt

Cream together softened butter and confectioner’s sugar.  Crack the egg into a separate bowl, and add the flavoring.  I use emulsions, but extract also works well. Add that to the butter sugar mixture and mix until the egg is thoroughly incorporated.  In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt, then add little by little to the mixture.
