The Dawn of a New Year

First and foremost, we want to wish each and everyone of you a Happy New Year! There's is something very exciting about the start of a new year and for some reason 2011 holds a lot of hope and promise for the Working Girls. 2011 will mark the year the Working Girls Brand is launched not only nationally but internationally. We have been hard at work over the last two years, drawing and writing 400 pieces of artwork. It wasn't always glamorous, it wasn't always easy, but oh what a wonderful ride its been. It's been so exciting to see our images embraced by our fans on facebook (all 1,450 of you!) and by 10 different manufacturers, we are on target for 623 products (yes we counted)  to be available in 2011! For that we say thank you, for supporting us along the way. We wouldn't be here with out YOU!

What's really exciting for us is to see the reaction of women of all ages respond to our work. It gives us a lot of satisfaction to know that we are making someone smile or laugh as we speak our mind. We hope this year you take on YOUR DREAM with new energy and enthusiasm, whether its writing that book, starting that business or non-profit, losing weight, getting financially fit, going on an exotic vacation, finding love or just making yourself a really good cocktail, we hope you finally make the time and just get to it. One of our favorite sayings here at Working Girl Designs, Inc is that these illustrations and copy don't draw themselves! We carve a little bit of time out EACH DAY to do what we love, to do what inspires us. We hope you do the same, take the time, carve it out, start telling a few people NO now and then, they won't die! Your dreams are important!

Okay, well step down off our cute little paisley soap box for now, and just close by saying Happy New Year, it's going to be a great year for us and for you. Let's make it our best one yet!!

Working Girls Around the World

We just finished doing some research and found the following information about who is reading about the Working Girls. What's truly exciting is that Jodi and Tonja are very convinced that the Working Girls brand is for women ALL OVER THE WORLD. We think the art and copy are applicable to almost all women and although the stats may be small in number, it's exciting to see. We'll take another screen shot next December.  We know it's just a start, but oh how exciting.

It's The Most Wonderful Time of The Year!

We love, love, love December. Here's hoping you do to and below is just a bit of new holiday artwork to brighten your day. Leave us a note and let us know your holiday plans. We like hearing from the original Working Girls of the world! Also, if you are looking for some of those last minute stocking stuffers might we suggest the Working Girls Holiday Gift Pads. Oh so cute.

Here are just a few of the pics from our Las Vegas Open House. It's so exciting to see the product go from development and concepts to hitting the shelves.  Thanks to Alligator Soup, C.R. Gibson and One Coast for making it such a memorable event!

He Plugged in the Lights, I did Everything Else.

Well, it's that wonderful but crazy time of year when the to  do list is always a list pad long. Cross one thing off, and two more items get added to the list. We've developed some illustrations and copy to capture the chaos of the season. And yet, eventually everything does fall into place and we realize the true magic of the season is really about being able to share great food and fellowship with family and friends.  So take a deep breath.....slow down.... relax, and if that doesn't do the trick, you can always do what the Working Girls do and add alcohol! Happy Thanksgiving!! Jodi and Tonja

Working Girls Are On the Move!!

When October Goes

Oh how we hate to see October go and doesn't this song by Nancy Wilson just sum it all up! What a wild and wonderful Halloween we had. It's no secret that Christmas and Halloween are our two favorite holidays! We had our first halloween napkin out, Chillin with my Ghoul Friends and hope you enjoyed it. Of course no Halloween is complete without Jodi's wonderful Chili and Tonja's chocolate, carmel apples. We hope you had a wonderful Halloween and we are looking forward to next year when the Working Girls will have Halloween wine glasses and plates out too!

The Making of a Brand

Well it's been days, and then weeks and now months but it finally happened. The Working Girls line is officially it's own brand! Don't believe us, well just check out this wonderful link from C.R. Gibson. The everyday and holiday line are the first to hit the market, mostly in paper goods. In about 6 months, there will be many more Working Girl products introduced by other manufacturer's as well including mugs, aprons, oven mits, keyrings, and an entire Christmas collection. We appreciate all your feedback on the blog and on our facebook page. We'll soon be sending out goodies to random facebook fans so please consider following our progress there.

The Wonderful World of Art Licensing

Well it's hard to believe it's nearly October. We've been busy working on several new projects and should have some wonderful announcements soon. It won't be long and there will be a host of products available from the Working Girls in stores nationwide. We appreciate all the wonderful feedback and look forward to designing many more projects for years to come. Here's hoping you are making plans now for a very special Halloween and Thanksgiving celebration. We think both deserve cute cocktail napkins at the very least. We hope you agree. So let us know how you celebrate the cooling temps and what says Happy Fall for you! Also, please don't forget to click on our Facebook fan page, we'll soon be giving very cool goodies away (our houses are filling up with samples) so you don't want to miss your chance for free stuff! Best, Jodi and Tonja   aka The Working Girls
